The Danish Foreign Ministry has summoned the U.S. Ambassador to Denmark, Ken Howery, to demand answers to comments made this past weekend by President Donald J. Trump’s recently appointed Special Envoy to Greenland, Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry, who publicly stated that the mission of his part-time role is to make Greenland a part of the United States.
